Strofilia has expanded its “Rare Earths” line with a new label, as stated by the Marketing Director, Maria Maltezou, in an interview with FnB Daily, emphasizing the company’s focus on exports.

The “Rare Earths” line of Strofilia consists of 5 codes, 3 reds and 2 whites. The most recent addition to the range was made in last May, with a single-varietal Sauvignon Blanc (Cara).

THE VINEYARDS

90% of Strofilia’s production comes from vineyards in the Peloponnese, where they cultivate:

•              Agiorgitiko

•              Malagousia

•              Moschofilero

•              Roditis

But also foreign varieties, such as:

•              Sauvignon Blanc

•              Chardonnay

•              Merlot

•              Syrah

In their own vineyards in Attica, they mainly cultivate:

•              Savatiano

•              Malagousia

The company’s products are available in cellars, supermarkets, and restaurants all over Greece.

“A STRONG PRESENCE” ABROAD

Strofilia was founded in 1980, with its first winery being located in Anavyssos, Attica. In 2000, Strofilia expanded to Peloponnese with its second winery.

As Ms. Maltezou stated, Strofilia has a strong presence abroad. “It is something we have been pursuing for many years, and after the crisis, it has become a very serious outlet for us,” she emphasized.

35% of the winery’s turnover comes from abroad, with its most important markets being:

•              Europe

•              USA

•              Canada

•              Australia

•              Brazil
