Lariplast has financed its €10 million investment in the paper cups production through the use of the Development Law. As sources within the company mention to FnB Daily, the shift towards gradually phasing out plastic cups, straws, and other disposable materials, is leading the company and the industry to invest into altering their production model to environmentally friendly paper products.
Lariplast is constantly working on increasing its market share both in retail and the HoReCa network.
THE NEW FACTORY
The new factory of 3,000 sq.m. represents not only the largest scale investment but also the biggest production facility of paper cups. Currently, 120 people are employed at the factory, and pilot production has already started. The aim calls for an annual production of 400 million paper cups, with estimated revenues expected to exceed €15 million in a short period of time as the company already has a customer base for the new product. Full-scale production is expected to begin by year end.
