Kastor Farm is planning on entering the zea wheat cultivation, as it targets products made of zea flour, such as pasta. This year, the company, which grows organic pulses on 350 acres in Kastoria, aims on increasing its market share, with the ultimate plan being to gradually evolve into the leading organic pulses producer in the country.
THE NEW PACKAGING PLANT
In order to strengthen its market share, the company is investing in the modernization of its facilities and equipment. In this context, a new packing and sorting plant is in the pipeline in Argos Orestiko. The 2023 figures rolled in with an increase, a trend that is expected to continue in the current financial year.
EXPORTS
Kastor Farm’s business goal is to strengthen its international presence. Exports account for about 10% of its turnover and are primarily directed to Germany and Belgium. Thus, this year, the company’s priorities comprise entering new markets and increasing exports to the said countries. The company trades and produces:
