New factory ready – Barrage of launches in ready meals
An 80% increase in production capacity and expanded possibilities for developing new codes provides “Hellenic Bakery Βrakopoulos” with the new factory in Koropi, the construction of which was completed about a month ago. The new unit, an investment of €3 million, comes to complement the existing facilities and support the concept of Greek Cuisine, with which the company has penetrated the ready-made food category, targeting not only bakeries and bakeries but a wider
segment of the catering industry.

NEW CODES IN PASTA AND SAUCES
“We have created a wide range of freshly frozen meals that have the same premium quality profile as our puff pastries and baked goods”, says Sales Manager, Vangelis Angelidis. New lines of fresh pasta and sauces are being added to this range which, as he emphasizes, can, in a few minutes, provide “excellent first-class dishes for any restaurant and hotel”.

PLACEMENT IN SMALL RETAILS AS WELL

As he adds, the plan foresees the placement of Greek Cuisine ready meals in selected small retail stores as a pilot. “There is room for growth in this channel as we see that, due to inflationary pressures and the decline in disposable income, meals are a practical and affordable solution, e.g. for tourists. It is no coincidence that in 2024 the catering turnover declined despite the fact that arrivals were increased,” he notes.
