
BAP Kougios is in the process of upgrading its facilities, with the aim of strengthening its production potential.
The company, which is the exclusive bottler of PepsiCo for the Dodecanese, recently invested in new high-capacity production lines. In addition, an expansion of storage spaces is planned for better inventory management and increased production.
THE STRATEGY FOR WATER
The investment plan also concerns the water product category, the portfolio of which includes Apollonius (natural mineral water) and Aqua Vita (table water). BAP Kougios’ water capacity provides for the distribution of 2.7 million cases per year.
The company’s strategy is to upgrade packaging through rPET and glass bottles, with the aim of strengthening the company’s presence in the HoReCa sector, which covers approximately 50% of total production, especially during the summer season.
BEER
BAP Kougios’ portfolio has also included BAP Zythos since 2008, with Premium Lager available in bottles, cans and kegs. Although there has been no new product development in this sector in the last year, the creation of a new beer is being considered. The focus is on the Free category, without alcohol, which is considered strategically important.
