The creation of the “Innovation Center for Women – #GIL4W”, in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family and the Athena Research Center, for the provision of auspice to institutions to engage in technology and entrepreneurship courses for women, was announced at the event for the activation of the Women’s Entrepreneurship Sector held by ACCI, by the Deputy Minister of Development, Zoe Rapti.
OBJECTIVES AND ACTIONS
The objectives and actions that the Women’s Entrepreneurship Sector will develop in the coming period are:
– Promoting and understanding the opportunities and challenges of women in business
– Identifying and removing the systemic barriers and prejudices that women often face
– Increasing access to capital and business training programs
– Making use of available resources and programs tailored for women entrepreneurs, such as Women’s Entrepreneurship Centres and NSRF programs
– Creating an ecosystem, networking and mentoring in Women Entrepreneurship
– Lobbying legislative bodies to improve the legal framework
