Hellenic Cables has signed a contract with DEME Offshore, a leading contractor in the offshore energy sector, for the supply of inter-array cables for the Eoliennes en Mer Dieppe Le Tréport (EMDT) project in France. This offshore wind farm is located off the coast of the English Channel and is expected to be operational by 2026.
Hellenic Cables will design, manufacture, and supply the 66kV inter-array cables and related accessories that will interconnect the wind turbines and connect them to the offshore substation. The supply includes approximately 120 km of 66kV XLPE insulated inter-array cables.
THE CABLES
The cables will be produced at the Hellenic Cables’ manufacturing facility in Corinth, starting in 2025, with delivery expected to be completed in the second half of 2025. With a total installed capacity of 496 MW, the offshore wind farm is located 15 km from the city of Tréport in France and 17 km from the city of Dieppe. Its 62 wind turbines will provide electricity to 850,000 consumers every year.
